Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I'm not sure if content violates the policy?

If you're uncertain, report it anyway. Our trained safety team will review all reports and determine if action is needed. It's better to report something that turns out to be acceptable than to ignore potentially harmful content.

Q: Will the user know I reported them?

No. Your identity as a reporter is completely confidential. The reported user will not know who submitted the report and cannot contact you or retaliate in any way.

Q: How long does it take to review a report?

CSAE reports are treated as critical priority. Content is immediately hidden and accounts are suspended automatically within seconds of your report. Our safety team reviews reports within 24 hours, and law enforcement is notified immediately for verified cases.

Q: What happens to false reports?

We understand that mistakes happen and good-faith reports are always welcome. However, intentionally false or malicious reports that target users unfairly may result in action against the reporter's account.

Q: Can I remain anonymous when reporting to NCMEC?

Yes. You can submit anonymous reports to the NCMEC CyberTipline. However, providing contact information can help investigators if they need additional details.
